Treasurer – Edwin S. Gaynor, CISSP, ISSEP

I am a Modeling and Simulation Engineer working for Booz Allen Hamilton on the F-35 fifth generation fighter DoD acquisition program.I’ve been in this positon for two years.Prior to that, I developed training programs for CISSP and business opportunities for Information Assurance as Chief Scientist at DCS Corporation.
I have CISSP and ISSEP certifications, and earned many CPEs serving on the ISC2NCRCHAPTER Board for the last four years. These years have seen a phenomenal tripling in membership for the Chapter, a huge enhancement to our online presence and a 5-times increase in attendance at monthly Member Meetings. We now have the membership, infrastructure and engagement that we need in order to start enhancing our offerings.

I’d like to see the Chapter establish processes and start offering education scholarships to the local IA community.Processes include identifying a target population, identifying funding sources, soliciting and reviewing applications, monitoring results, etc.The scholarships should become a regular annual offering that develops and spreads IA knowledge and encourages new membership. There’s a lot to do, and I think ISC2NCRCHAPTER is up to it.
