October is #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth
The month of October is widely acknowledged as Cybersecurity Awareness Month and an opportunity for the global community to join together in the mission of educating those outside of the profession with daily practices that can be implemented so that we may all live in a safer and more secure cyber world. This month reminds us that cybersecurity is for all and doesn’t have to be overly complicated. Together we can showcase the vast resources our community has to support all organizations and industries to keep their valuable information secure.

Join the Conversation
Those who are new to the industry or looking to get a start in cybersecurity should join us live tomorrow, October 5 at 1:00 p.m. ET for “Start Your Cybersecurity Career this Cybersecurity Month”. This webinar will feature a panel discussion moderated by Brandon Dunlap. We’re excited to have a cybersecurity training expert, a member of our own CPE team and a newly minted CC holder! The conversation will cover the best practices for entry-level cybersecurity participants looking to get into the field and what to discover during Cybersecurity Awareness Month. We will highlight ideas and actions that can be of use in the work environment and guide you to resources that can strengthen your comprehension of the cyber climate and your path in it. If you’re an experienced cyber pro, please share this webinar with your entry- and junior-level colleagues, or those interested in joining the workforce.
The discussion will highlight all of this year’s global Cybersecurity Month themes including enabling multi-factor authentication, passwords, recognizing and reporting phishing and ransomware. Be sure to bring all of your questions, engagement is encouraged throughout the presentation and the event will close with a Q&A session.
