Check off a New Year’s Resolution: Speak at a Cybersecurity Event
January is a time for setting goals and planning for the new year. Professional development is a valuable cornerstone – so why not resolve to speak at a cybersecurity event in 2018! Check off a resolution (and rack up some CPEs) by speaking at one of these four (ISC)2 events in the U.S. this year.
Secure Summit Phoenix – March 9
- Deadline: January 30
- CPEs: 9
This one-day event is focused on (Re)Emerging Threats. Ransomware and phishing are among threats that just won’t go away. Share your insight with fellow practitioners on how we can take new approaches to these old problems.
Secure Summit DC in Washington, DC – May 7-8
- Deadline: February 1
- CPEs: 18
Formerly known as CyberSecureGov, this two-day training event is a must-attend for those in cybersecurity. We’re expecting more than 800 attendees this year with keynote speakers including Dave Kennedy, Michaela Iorga and (ISC)2’s CEO David Shearer. NIST Cybersecurity Framework, The Privacy Challenge and Game-Changing Solutions are among the tracks we’re currently accepting submissions for.
Security Congress in New Orleans, Louisiana – October 8-10
- Deadline: February 23
- CPEs: 28
We’re going to let the good times roll in New Orleans this fall, and are aiming for our biggest and best Security Congress yet. Last year, our first standalone Congress in the U.S., was attended by nearly 2,000 cybersecurity practitioners. New tracks this year include Cutting Edge and New Voices.
Secure Summit Denver – June 15
- Deadline: April 1
- CPEs: 9
Another one-day event in Denver, it will be focused on Lessons from the Cloud. Share your cloud security guidance and advice with other cybersecurity practitioners.
Deadlines are fast approaching, and your calendar is surely filling up. Get your speaker submissions in today and work on that 2018 professional resolution.
