READY for (ISC)² Events of the Future

Sep 07, 2021

Megan_Clar_Webinar (ISC)² CEO Clar Rosso recently joined Megan Gavin, director of global events, for a webinar as part of the series Inside (ISC)². The two executives candidly discussed the 2021 (ISC)² Security Congress , taking place October 18-20, as well as the future of all (ISC)² global events.

Megan shared that while Security Congress is changing from hybrid to virtual, the agenda, content, number of sessions and speakers will not be impacted, and the shift provides an opportunity for us to provide another world-class virtual conference.

“As much as we’re disappointed that we will not see you in person, we are dedicated to building upon our 2020 successes to make this year’s virtual conference even better,” Megan promised.

Improvements include increased virtual networking opportunities, a robust career center, a first-ever 3D virtual exhibit hall and a new digital streaming partner allowing all sessions to be streamed live with real-time chat with speakers and attendees. Attendees, registered before October 19, will be able to view sessions, and receive CPE credits, on-demand through the end of 2021.

As Clar and Megan look toward 2022, they shared that in addition to the prominent Security Congress event, (ISC)² is bringing back a new version of the Secure Summits, our regional in-person events. Tune in to hear Megan explain these and the newly created (ISC)² Secure Series events coming in 2022.

Attendees appreciated the opportunity to ask Clar and Megan questions related to global events, certification updates and the future of online proctored exams.

“Clar and Megan were great! Very useful content covered. This was my first webinar since becoming a member and this was a perfect introduction to the (ISC)² team. It really left me feeling engaged – which seems to be a real strength of Clar’s, so it’s great to see someone like that leading the organization. Thank you!” Poll Question_career advancement

Clar also polled attendees on which skill they felt they needed to further develop/improve over the next two years to advance their career. This question was asked in our Cybersecurity Workforce Survey and the findings – including this question and so many more – will be shared at Security Congress.
